Troy Oldham's Week 4 Post #1

As this assignment goes on, I continue to find more interesting things out about Public Relations. I don't know why it took me until now to start looking at public relations in sports, but I found a great website today that talks about what someone would do in sport with public relations. The website is http://iml.jou.ufl.edu/projects/fall01/latimer/. He lays out four areas that you could work in: Player Relations, Community Relations, Media Relations and Investor Relations. I would love to be involved with sports-centered public relations. In fact, I plan on being a high school coach and I will learn some skills that will help me to get the publicity and funds for a fun time on the basketball team.
