CACHE VALLEY AREA INVESTORS ASSOCIATION SHOWS PEOPLE HOW TO MAKE PASSIVE INCOME EVEN IN THE MIDST OF AN ECONOMIC CRISIS
Dear Seth Hawkins:
I know that with your prime focus as the web editor for the Statesman being to find things that pertain to students, that you will find this very intriguing. I think that writing about the CVAIA in the Statesman will help students to realize that they can get started now with making money on passive income.
There are ways in which money can be earned without you doing anything, and CVAIA teaches you how to do this. Meetings are every other Thursday at 7 p.m. They are held at the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce. Learn how to make it possible to do a job that you love without worrying about your income from that given profession.
The meetings offer a non-threatening environment and gladly welcome newcomers. No prior experience or level of knowledge is required. Come with questions and concerns, or just come to listen. No money is necessary to get your passive income going, you will be taught how you can also invest your time and your credit.
Many students attend the meetings and bring an optimistic and enthusiastic outlook on life and their goals. Founder and president, Preston Parker, is also a professor and possesses many skills in bringing what could be deep topics on to the level of each individual who attends.
For more information on the CVAIA please contact us at cachevaia@gmail.com or go to www.cvaia.com. To schedule interviews, or for additional information, you can contact me at rcmorri84@hotmail.com or call me 801-419-5401. Preston Parker is also available at cachevaia@gmail.com

Shane Kreb's Reading Week of Oct. 12
I read the Conversational Terrorism one and thought to myself, who in the world has time to come up with stuff like this? I hope they got paid. There were a couple that were pretty funny, but I just like to tell it how it is. If I don't know the answer, I dont need to give myself time to make something up. I am also not in to the game of making other people feel stupid. I have a lot better things to do than to argue with people. The link bombing article was kind of funny in the same way. Someone with nothing better to do than to try and make someone else look stupid. While it may have been effective, what a waste of time. Those are my thoughts on the articles.

ICON HEALTH AND FITNESS TO SEND USU GRADUATE TO CHINA
ICON Continues To Offer Great Work Experience For Students
Taylor Price will finish his last three credits towards graduation online as he and his wife moved to China on Monday to start his new job as a manager.
Each year, Icon employs more students and gives them opportunities to prove themselves. Price did just that as he worked for Icon for two years, while going to school, before they decided to send me overseas. It is not just Price that has excelled while going to school. Many others have taken on the rigorous task of going to school and working full-time.
Icon Health and Fitness is one of the largest employers in the Cache Valley area and they continue to provide valuable, real-life experiences to students. Icon is flexible with students and willing to work around classes and homework to allow for ambitious students to better themselves.
Many start in areas such as customer service or product testing. Promotions are given to those that perform well and extensive benefits are available to those that work more than 30 hours a week. Along with the benefits, there are perks on the side as well. Anything from discounted Jazz tickets to ski passes. There are company parties and retreats as well. Last year, Icon rented out Lagoon for the day and held the company party there.
While Price’s journey is only just beginning, many others can experience the same ride.
Job openings and internships are posted regularly on their website www.iconfitness.com.

Troy Oldham's Class Week 2 Post #2
I haven't fully figured out how to navigate this PRNewsonline website, and maybe it's because I am not a member, but it doesn't seem to have much action at all. I found just one blog on there by a gal named Diane, and I only see posts from her once a week to twice a week. The comments are just as sparce. I just found another blog on there and nothing has been written on it for over 4 weeks. I believe that there is a bright future in PR, but it just doesnt seem like there is that much information out there on it. It seems to get burried behind a lot of other career choices. I did find one interesting point that Diane Schwartz made, "Have social media sites made people less friendly in person and more friendly online? To me, the scene was representative of the new Web 2.0: most people come to social media sites and soak in the information before them but don’t participate. And there’s the vocal minority who keep the conversation flowing and want to be heard. The more things change, the more they stay the same, when it comes to human nature." Kind of interesting to think about. And it seems oh so true.
Troy Oldham Week 2 Post #1
We talked in one of my classes the other day about jobs in PR. With the way the market is going, it is kind of scary that we may all graduate and not have jobs. My professor assured me that this is an area that is supposedly in high demand. I looked on prweekjobs.com and only found 20 in the whole country. NOw I know that this is not the only website that has job postings, but 20 on a PR site in the whole country is not very optimistic. Luckily I don't plan on going into the PR field as a career, I only majored in it so I could learn all the valuable things that are taught that pertain to writing and communication.

HOW TO BECOME FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT AND LOVE WHAT YOU DO
Cache Valley Area Investors Association was founded in July 2007
Logan, Utah, Oct.3—You do not have to work a job that you do not enjoy just to pay the bills.
“People all over the world are using investments to become financially independent,” said Parker. There are areas of investments with lower risks and no money is needed to get started. You can also invest your time and your credit.
There are many people that share this same philosophy that you need to use passive income to get to a point that you can afford to work a job you like, even if the pay is not great.
The Cache Valley Area Investors Association meets at the Cache County Chamber of Commerce every other Thursday at 7 p.m. If you are interested in learning how you can become financially independent and willing to put in the effort then you can join the association. “The meetings offer a non-threatening environment where any question or concern will be discussed, even if it takes until 2 a.m.,” said Parker.
CVAIA is also a non-profit organization. Meetings are exciting and educational. On occasion CVAIA will also have guest speakers that bring added knowledge to the group.
